Workshop

10.30am-1.00pm: 'Come to Tea’ – promoting well being outcomes

Zoe Farrell and Sylvie Silver, NAPA

The highly respected NAPA team will deliver ‘Come to Tea’ a fast paced and interactive learning event promoting physical activity, eating well and feeling good for Care Home residents. Participate in thought provoking activities, quizzes and games. Take away stimulating ideas and free resources, and Certificates of attendance will be available. Prizes for participants include smoothie-makers, free training materials and Activity ideas folders.

The team bring you the latest news from a nationally funded project bringing together guidelines on excellence in care home, best practice volunteering, and the advice from the Chief Medical Officer is of interest to Care Home Managers, Caterers, Activity Organisers and other care professionals.

2pm: CQC - The Regulatory Experience

Care Professionals Benevolent Fund

The Care Professionals Benevolent Fund is the registered charity for the care industry. We are here to support current and former care workers who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own. If you are unable to work for any reason or you are working but struggling to make ends meet then we may be able to help. The CPBF can offer grants that help to clear debts, help with day-to-day living costs or help to purchase essential items that will improve quality of life. The CPBF can also put you in touch with debt advice specialists and give you advice and guidance on the availability of government funding and other charitable funding.
